For 2016 we have two exciting pre-workshop events featuring Richard Floyd, Texas State Director of Music Emeritus and author of The Artistry of Teaching and Making Music.  Both sessions will take place on Monday, November 7 at McCracken Middle School.

Richard Floyd Open Rehearsal (Limit 20)
Monday, November 7 • 7:30a to 9:30a – Richard Floyd open rehearsal with the McCracken Middle School Symphonic Band.  This session is limited to 20 observers with priority given to BDW 2016 registrants.

Richard Floyd Q&A/Informal Session • BDW 2016 Registration Not Required
Monday, November 7 • 7:00p to approximately 8:30p – This session is open to band directors and current student teachers/music education majors.  Registration to BDW 2016 is not required.  Questions and discussion topics will be solicited in advance.
